Applications for Summer 2023 are open October 24 2022 (at 12 PM) to December 4, 2022.

Steps to Apply

In order to hold a space on a program, you will need to complete the following steps:

Step 1: Complete the following application form. You will need to provide your passport number if you already hold a valid passport.

Step 2: Review and agree to the terms of the Student Participation Agreement.

Step 3: Respond to the questionairre regarding your motivation for enrolling in the Global Internship Program. Responses should be well thought out and demonstrate why you are a strong candidate to be selected for the program. It is highly encouraged for applicants to prepare their responses in advance on a Word document and then copy and paste to the application. It is not possible to save your application prior to submitting. The maximum word count for each short reponse asnswer is 125 words. Please visit your program webpage and refer to the "Documents to Prepare for Your Application" tab for the list of questions you will need to respond to in the questionnairre.

Step 4: Upload a current resume. This should be a resume including your most recent and relevant work, volunteer and educational experiences, which will be provided to potential internship site managers

Step 5: Wait 3-to-5 business days for UCLA IEO to review your application and respond to you with an update on your next steps.

Step 6: Attend an advising session with our on-site program partners in your selected internship host city. Advising sessions will occur during the months of November and December.

Step 7: Applicants will be notified of acceptance decisions in early January. If you are accepted, you will be asked to pay a $300 non-refundable deposit.
